Mobile digital TV technology is fast becoming robust as both streaming and mobile broadcast TV services are piloted and launched commercially around the world. Major research houses are forecasting explosive expansion of the mobile TV market in the coming few years. By 2011, it is predicted that more than half a billion customers will subscribe to video services on various handheld devices, including mobile phones, mobile Internet devices (MIDs), netbooks, laptops and ultra mobile personal computers (UMPCs).

At i-Vision, we think mobile TV is more than watching rich video content while on the move, or just another new application on your handheld device. While it is still early to predict how mobile TV services will develop, we think mobile television is the best platform for achieving convergence by linking up the television, mobile telecom and Internet networks. We believe users will want more from mobile television. They will expect to be able to watch video programs, search for information, participate and express themselves on a single media platform.

In China, with the largest mobile population, Internet user base, television audience and where i-Vision is based, we believe mobile TV will become a formidable new digital media platform, and personalization and interactivity will be the keys to future successful operation.
